Meet Janice

Human Resource Professional/Trainer/ Educator/Speaker

Working in human resources has gone beyond being just a job for Janice to becoming a passion for helping people. From her own experiences in the work environment, she has learned that people deserved to be treated fairly and equitably in companies and has been working for the last 12 years to help organizations and leaders know what the rules are when it comes to their employees. Helping small and medium size business owners be compliant with labour legislation and to build a solid human resource foundation has given her a determination and appreciation for helping companies value their most value asset – their human assets!

Janice started in human resources (HR) in 1993, working her way up from being an assistant to the Human Resource Secretary to eventually becoming a Director of Human Resources. Working in diverse industries such as hospitality, retail, finance and food processing has given Janice a good working knowledge of how organizations operate and what they can do to ensure they take care of the people who work for them.

In 2010, Janice started a consulting company that focuses on the human resource needs of small and medium size companies who don’t have a human resource person or department but need HR help. Whether it’s hiring employees, guiding managers in the performance management process, training managers on legal compliance or assisting in the termination process, Janice gains knowledge about the company’s operations to create a system that helps to treat their human capital with respect and appreciation. Through workshops, training seminars and keynote speeches, Janice inspires and motivates people to look after their employees in a fun and educational manner!
